Guangzhou China Part IV

Hi guys !

In this last entries of my travel experienced to Guangzhou China, I want to share with my fellow readers about what you can do during the night time.

 1) Pearl River

relaxing along the Pearl River

You can have a night walk beside the river while trying some locals food from stalls scattered along the river. “This 2,129 meter long river can provide you enough entertainment that will make your stay in the city an unforgettable one”.(excel Guangzhou). Also, you can try the River Cruise .

2) Canton Tower

scenic view of Canton Tower from Pearl River

Despite of having a night walk in Pearl River area, you can have a sight-seeing from above of this beautiful tower. “The landmark of a city tells a lot about its culture and lifestyle. With the moving tide of time, landmarks also undergo transformation. The Canton Tower, alternatively known as Guangzhou TV and Sightseeing Tower, is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city”. (cantontower.com).

Guangzhou China Part II

Morning earthlings!

Talking about the transportation during the journey, my family and I usually took a cab that pick-us-up at our home to the airport. It is easier as nobody will felt tired before the journey. Logically, people travel to other part of countries by airplane to save their time. Can you ever imagine that people go to Guangzhou by ship? Absolutely it is not a good choice cuz it will takes you two to three months to arrive :’D

Upon arrival at Baiyun Airport

my dad and I

Once your plane has landed (usually at Baiyun Airport), you can choose whether to go to the centre of Guangzhou city by tour bus, tour van, by train, taxi or to drive yourself there. It is a bonus if you can speak in Mandarin, Hokkien or Cantonese (my dad can hehe) because you can negotiate the ride fees easily as local people seem to have a habit of overcharging all foreigners.

During the trip, you can use taxi or metro railway to move from one place to another. Metro has been the highest choice from the local people apart from walking to the workplace. You may be a bit confused about the lanes you need to choose at first, but once you have discover how the metro works, its actually may help you to save a lot of time without the need to ask people around you anymore. Your communication skills also can be improved :P

Guangzhou China

Assalamulaikum

Ni hao?
Wo jiao aidiya

From that conversation, I guess you guys can predict where I will take you guys in this new entry. Yes.  I’ll take you guys to China. In which part of China I will take you guys? Of course it is Guangzhou the largest and most flourishing industrial and foreign trade center in south China.

Few years back, our economic situation are quite good and our currency are greater than in South China, but as in these few days, our economic are going down and it may   affect your budget. Before you travel, same as my advice in last entries, do check the money currency of that particular country you choose to travel.  You need to have budget for accommodations, transportation, foods, places and things you want to buy.

currency check : The money converter

According to my experience, my parents have planned the budget for one person which is about Rm3000 for one week including all things I’ve said above. This amount of money is suitable for traveler who come to Guangzhou to spend their holiday not to do business matters.

Furama Hotel lobby

As my parents travelled a lot to Guangzhou, we usually booked for Furama Hotel in the city because we can found that most Malaysian tourist there. It is easiest and a lot safer to be surrounded by people that connected to us. But during my time, we chose to stay at hotel (I can’t remember the hotel’s name) nearer to the Furama Hotel as it has been fully booked since earlier.

Hatyai Thailand Part IV

 Hi readers :)

You shouldn’t waste your night time just to be in your hotel’s room and do nothing! You can choose to spend your night at the biggest night bazaar at ASEAN Night Market. You can hop-on the public transport, Tuktuk and ask the driver to send you there.

the crowd

Your eyes will be spoiled by soooo many things as everything were sold there. You can find beautiful clothes, stylish shoes, delicious local foods, gadget tools and etc. Make sure that you don’t miss to try their local foods!  And to be honest, almost everything they sell have many varieties of choices and very cheap.

locals food that you must taste !

Tips for Bargaining !

“Hat Yai is a touristy area with a flood of tourists from Malaysia and transit passengers. Local people seem to have a habit of overcharging all foreigners. The situation is one of the worst even compared to other touristy areas in Thailand.

Learning a few Thai phrases usually doesn't keep you from being overcharged because Thais get used to Malaysians pretending to be a local by speaking a few Thai words. Talking about honesty doesn't mean much to the people in Hat Yai, but smiling will help. When you are asked to pay an inflated price, name any poor country, say you come from there, and insist that you don't have money. Sometimes it works” (wikitravel,2015)
