Another typical activities that you can do here is sit along the seashore and gossiping till late night, enjoy the cool breeze and the pleasant sound of the see waves in the moonlit. it was very soothing :)

View of Perhentian Kecil Island

Perhentian island is almost entirely surrounded by beautiful white sandy beach, virgin jungle, swaying palm trees, warm sapphire blue waters, and a colorful coral garden.A trip to this exotic tropical island is a must for all nature lovers and those who enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, swimming, wind surfing, sailing, boating, and canoeing.

snorkeling in coral bay

During our vacation, we went for snorkeling on six different check-points which are coral bay, turtle bay, shark point, romantic beach, fisherman village and lighthouse point. We were treated to many clown fish, blue-spotted rays, trigger fish, beautiful and unique coral, graceful turtle and so much more. The fees for snorkeling were about RM30 including the snorkel equipment. Don't forget to bring along some breads for fish-feeding :p

After a long day swimming in the deep sea, surely you will starve to death because basically the activities start at 10 am and end at 4pm and all you can have during the activity is only salt water :’)

Done with snorkeling, take your bath, and go for amazing dinner ! You can enjoy barbeque dinners at the beach with fresh seafood, malay’s traditional food or even western food while enjoying the scenic view and also the sunsets. Even though the food is a bit pricey but it worth every penny you spent !

Perhentian Island Part II

Welcome back !

so for today's entry, i would like to share with you guys about the transportation used along the trip in perhentian island as well as things that you need to bring together during vacation. i will start with the transportation first.

as i am from Kuantan (studying there), my friends and i chose to drive cars by ourselves from Kuantan to Kuala Besut Terengganu. the journey took about 4 hours from Kuantan to Kuala Besut through LPT2 Highway. about the tolls, you don't have to worry because it only cost you rm1.70 for one way to Kuala Besut (only if you came from Kuantan too).

Kuala Terengganu

once you've reached Kuala Besut's jetty, you have to take passengers boat to Pulau Perhentian. the fees is about RM70 per head for return boat. if you are good at negotiating, you might get to pay cheaper than the actual fees which is around RM50 per head :P

when you go for budget trip, you must prepared some things that may help you to cut your expenses, for sport activities and things for emergency cases. these are some of my opinion of things that you can brings during your vacation :

  • instant noodles (to save your money on food)
  • mineral water (most important !)
  • gardenia (for sport activities)
  • swimsuit
  • safety kit
  • emergency money (not necessary)

don't forget to bring the necessary things like shirt, towels and pants as well hehe. make it less but sufficient :p  bye .

Perhentian Island

hi again !

well for today i'm gonna share you about the budget for trip to Perhentian Island, Terangganu. so, i've been there on 24 july till 26 july 2015, a week after Eid celebration with my favourite people. we were student so we don't allocate so much money for trips.  we do use our duit raya for this trip hehe.

as i said before, we were students, so we have small budgets but a big dream haha :p  i roughly spend about rm300 for the trip. surely it include transportation, fuel, tolls, chalet, snorkeling and foods. if you ever wish to eat like starve people, do bring boxes of money. foods at perhentian island was pretty delicious and pretty penny too. no, i mean it was too expensive too pricey. believe me, you will spend most of your money on food there.

here are my total expenses i spent during the 3 days 2 nights vacation :

car fuel + tolls : RM30 (Kuantan-Kuala Besut-Kuantan)
return boat : RM70
chalet : RM70/per room
snorkeling : RM30 (6 check-points)
food + souvenirs : RM100

oh yeah. accommodations. there were lot of places to stay around perhentian island because there are two main lands which is perhentian besar and perhentian kecil. nowadays, people prefer to go to perhentian kecil as it offers more excitement especially to people who love water sports. so here's the map for you to choose where to stay ;

during those trip, i've been staying at amelia resort, somewhere beside the senja bay resort (it is not being mention on the map). we got rm70/night for each room and that was quite cheap for us that came in group because we can share the rent. as there were lot of places to choose, i advise you to book your place earlier to get cheaper price. you can contact the owners of the resort (i'll give it at the last part of the entries or you can find it online) for further details because some of them might offers you with cheaper packages including accommodations, transportation, food and snorkeling activities.
